In collaboration with Andrew Steinke and Neil Haque
In the fall of 2024, Neil, Andrew, and I placed 2nd in the student category of the Efficiency Manitoba Building Envelope Design Competition. For our design we focused on reaching high R-values in our envelope, using sustainable and local materials whenever possibile to reduce embodied carbon, and finding creative solutions to reduce thermal bridging and maintain continous insulation and A/V control.
While participating in the competition I learned about what it's like to work under a serious deadline, we had two months to complete our design. We utililized Autodesk Construction Cloud on this project, cloud worksharing in Revit improved our collaboration and helped us work faster.
